How to get to Highwire

Highwire's offices are in Amersham-on-the-Hill, which is accessible from the M25 and M40 as well as by Metropolitan tube line from central London.

From the M40

From Junction 2 of the M40 take the A355 to Amersham. After you come down the hill go straight across the first roundabout, which is a junction with A413, towards Tesco. At the roundabout in front of Tesco, take the third exit and then the first exit at the next roundabout. At the top of the hill, immediately after passing under the bridge take the second exit off the mini roundabout and then straight over at the next roundabout. Amersham tube station will be on your right. Continue along Chiltern Avenue which turns gently left past multi-storey car park, library and youth centre, all on your right. Apex House is on your left immediately after the British Red Cross.

Sadly parking space is limited to a single space so please telephone us ten or so minutes before you arrive so that we can vacate our parking spot for you to use. Alternatively you can park in the public car park across the road (1 hour costs 30p; 2 hours 70p and 3 hours £2).

From the M25

From Junction 18 of the M25 take the A404 to Amersham. As you approach Amersham you pass a BP garage and then an Audi dealer on your right hand side. At the roundabout immediately after the Audi dealership, take the second exit under the bridge and then the first exit at the next, very close, roundabout. Continue up the hill until you reach a mini roundabout just before a Shell garage. Take the first exit, signposted to the station and leisure centre. Apex House is approximately 90 metres on your right between Amersham Business Machines and the British Red Cross.

By train

Amersham station is at the end of the Metropolitan Line of the London Underground. Catch, or change to, northbound Metropolitan trains at Baker Street Underground station to Amersham. The service is half hourly and takes about 50 minutes.

Amersham is also served by Chiltern Railways from London Marylebone. You can catch northbound Chiltern Railways' trains to Aylesbury via Amersham, the service is half hourly and takes about 40 minutes. Chiltern Railway trains are faster and more comfortable than the Metropolitan trains.

Tickets to and from Amersham (which can be purchased at Underground stations) can be used on both Chiltern and Metropolitan services.

On leaving Amersham station turn right and follow Chiltern Avenue round a gentle left turn past a multi-storey car park, library and youth centre on your right. Highwire is in Apex House on your left just past the British Red Cross. Our entrance is down the left hand side of the building.

It is just under a ten minute walk from the station but feel free to call us and we'll collect you if you want or if it's raining.
