The brief given for this calendar of events was, paradoxically, both wide ranging and restricted. In essence we could do whatever we wished provided the sheet size was A4, that the publication was printed in two colours, red and black, and that the whole item should function as an introduction the BACB, British Association of Communicators in Business.

The solution we proposed added the further benefits that the resultant document could easily fit in a pocket, stand up when used for exhibition displays and that events and their dates could be looked up speedily.
