Intranet design

The objectives of intranets are many and varied but in essence their role is to provide a single reference source for all those involved in a specific organisation or project. Companies use intranets to sustain and encourage expertise within their organisation. Thus an intranet may contain the complex design attributes, specifications, standards and legislation needed for fitting out stores or building a hotel, or it might be the single reference for a brand and what it means to employees and customers. Increasingly intranets are being used by commercial and social welfare organisations to provide up to date operational information and as an aid to reducing bureaucracy so that errors are reduced and job satisfaction increased.

For an intranet to be successful it must be as complete and as easy to use as possible. Highwire's experience and expertise means that we create effective intranets that users become highly committed to using because they help them in their day-to-day work.
